God Is an Astronaut, yang dibentuk pada tahun 2002, adalah instrumental post-rock band, Glen Downs, County Wicklow, Irlandia. Nama mereka terinspirasi oleh sebuah kutipan terkenal dari film Nightbreed dan mereka merilis debut album mereka "The End of Beginning" (2002) di Revive Records. Pada tahun selanjutnya, mereka telah merilis sebuah EP dan empat full-length album. Terbaru mereka, "Age of the Fifth Sun" dirilis pada Mei 2010.
God Is an Astronaut, who formed in 2002, are an instrumental/post-rock three piece band from the Glen of the Downs, County Wicklow, Ireland. Their name was inspired by a famous quote from the movie Nightbreed and they released their debut album "The End of the Beginning" (2002) on Revive Records. In the years to follow, they have released an EP and four full-length albums. Their newest, "Age of the Fifth Sun" was released in May of 2010.
